ANNAPOLIS, MD - Dream Yacht Charter has grown to become the largest privately owned Charter Company in the world; and over the last 12 years is setting new trends in Management and Ownership programs.

Dream Yacht has 36 bases worldwide and own approximately 50% of the yachts in their fleet, with the balance being owned by individuals who partner with Dream Yacht in the different yacht management programs.

Three years ago Dream Yacht Charter moved into the North American market with the acquisition of Annapolis Bay Charters, a local company that has been in operation for over 30 years. Since then new bases have been added in Fort Lauderdale and Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas, Antigua, and Grenada in the Grenadines, with more bases planned for the North American region.

Since opening up Yacht Ownership to the North American market Dream Yacht Charter has made major inroads into this sector and cornered a large slice of the market. Because of the diverse and flexible programs available, Dream Yacht Charter expects to expand their market share substantially with new yacht owners from North America.

Dream Yacht Charter has proven to be innovative with a forward thinking and energetic management team that is hands on and directly involved in the day-to-day running of the company. Here is an overview of the Programs and Yacht Brands offered by Dream Yacht Charter:

Lease Purchase Program – This program allows a buyer to purchase a boat using Dream Yacht financing and thus not have to apply for a conventional mortgage. The buyer pays 25% of the purchase price at the start and then there is a balloon of 30% at the end of the 66-month program. Dream Yacht retains the title and when the Balloon is paid the title is handed over to the buyer free and clear. There is reciprocal owner use worldwide for a maximum of 8 weeks. There are absolutely no out of pocket costs for the duration of the program and there is no income to the owner.

• Brands Available and Customization – Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon. Minimal customization, these boats are ordered factory direct in volume and have to have maximum cabin configurations

Partnership Program – This program requires the buyer to pay 55% of the purchase price at closing. Ownership of the boat is placed into a Corporation with the buyer owning 55% and Dream Yacht owning 45%. At the end of the 60-month program Dream Yacht sells it's 45% to the buyer for $1 and the boat is free and clear and owned by the buyer. There is no income to the buyer and absolutely no out of pocket costs for the duration of the program. There is reciprocal owner use worldwide for a maximum of 12 weeks.

• Brands Available and Customization – Beneteau, Jeanneau, Dufour, Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot. Can choose fabric and wood colors (if available) with minimal additional equipment and must be maximum cabin configurations.

Guaranteed Income Program – This Program requires the buyer to obtain financing for the yacht, which normally requires a 20% down payment. At closing the title is transferred to the buyer and normally the lender will have a lien on the title . Dream Yacht guarantees a 9% return on the cost of the yacht annually and paid monthly. The ONLY expense that the buyer is responsible for is the mortgage, which is covered by the Guaranteed payment. Dream Yacht pays ALL other expenses for the 60-month duration of the program. There is reciprocal owner use worldwide for a maximum of 12 weeks.

• Brands Available and Customization – Beneteau, Jeanneau, Dufour, Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot and Catana. Can choose fabric and wood colors (if available) with minimal additional equipment and must be maximum cabin configurations.

Performance Program – This is the highest yielding program financially, but unlike the previous programs where the buyer has no financial risk, there is a shared risk/benefit attached to this program. The buyer requires financing and title is transferred at closing. The net income is split 65% to the owner and 35% to Dream Yacht with all the expenses being paid by the owner out of the 65% portion. The Owner is responsible for ALL costs including the mortgage payments. When looking at the split more attention should be paid to the actual bottom line number. Comparable programs with, what appear to be better split ratios, such as 80/20 end up yielding less dollars than the Dream Yacht model because of loaded costs. There are 12 weeks of owner use but ONLY on the owners yacht – there are no reciprocals.

• Brands Available and Customization – Beneteau, Jeanneau, Dufour, Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot and Catana. Can customize layout as well as equipment but needs to be charter friendly and easy to maintain so items like Washer dryer and dish washers are frowned upon.

Active Yacht Ownership Program – This program is based on the Performance program template but has additional modules which enable the buyer to run the boat as a business. By placing the yacht into a corporation and running it as a business, the owner is able create substantial tax advantages that further offset the cost of ownership. The experts at Dream Yacht are able to explain and expand on how this program works. Because every person has different circumstances, the stimulus programs that are available affect each one differently; a consultation is advised with a Dream Yacht professional to see if this works for the individual. For buyers who are paying high taxes this is definitely an option that should be further explored.

Defiscalization Program – This program is mainly for buyers who want to own a Catana. Buyer receives an upfront 55% discount on the purchase price, Consequently, the 45% balance on the price is due at closing by the buyer

OR, alternatively:

The buyer pays only 30% instead of 45% of the price at closing. Dream Yacht Charter finances the 15% difference with a 5-year term loan. DYC will pay the buyer an annual guaranteed income of 4% of the cash amount the buyer puts down. Buyer has no out of pocket expenses for the duration of the agreement (maintenance insurance, dockage etc. are 100% paid by Dream Yacht Charter). Owner's use of the vessel is 2 weeks in high season and 2 weeks in low season, OR 6 weeks in low season with reciprocal owner use worldwide. The vessel must be French flagged and Dream Yacht remains the holder of the title until the end of the 5-year program. As a guaranty for the above clause the buyer will be given a lien right on the vessel's title registered with the French Government from inception, which will ensure that the buyer is fully protected in any eventuality. French regulations on vessel's titles are extremely strict and the buyer has absolutely no risk.

• Brands Available and Customization – Catana only. These boats are prebuilt and spec'd out so there is no customization available and the specification of the boat is fixed.
